Ilya Lichtenstein Sentenced to Five Years in Prison for Bitfinex Hack
Hacker Ilya Lichtenstein has been sentenced to five years in prison for hacking and stealing approximately 119,754 BTC (worth around $71 million at the time) from the Bitfinex cryptocurrency exchange, as well as conspiring to launder the stolen funds.
