In the US a perpetrator was sentenced to five years in prison for creating a fake Coinbase website

Indian citizen Chirag Thamar was sentenced to 60 months in prison, followed by two years of supervised release, for spoofing.  
Thamar and his accomplices defrauded hundreds of investors out of $20 million by creating a fake cryptocurrency exchange website resembling Coinbase.
